Welcome!

Dr. Cara Manning’s research group at the University of Connecticut Department of Marine Sciences develops and applies mobile and laboratory-based methods to measure gases in the environment (including greenhouse gases, noble gases, oxygen, and nitrogen), as well as other biogeochemical tracers. We research topics ranging from marine productivity and carbon cycling, to Arctic climate change, to the environmental impacts of nutrient pollution and oil and gas development.
